Welcome to Mike Lacche Boxing: we honor all our veterans, community volunteers and those who give to help others this month which includes relief efforts around the world.

We have three significant family milestones this month:

September 10: Nick Lacche(brother, 125th birth anniversary is 2035)

September 19: Vildo Cerasoli(brother-in-law, family patriarch), birthday anniversary (centennial was 2016)

September 21: Mike Lacche enlistment anniversary in United States Army (1939)

In honor of the fighting spirit of this great Armed Forces boxing champion we have a new featured radio call tonight, billed as the first title defense bout.

We honor all our veterans, community volunteers and those who give to help others this month which includes Independence Day.

S/Sgt. Michael "Mike" Anthony Lacche (La'Kay) 1914 -1989 represented the fighting spirit that our service men and women take every day when defending our freedom. In coming months, we look forward to sharing more about Mike's boxing career. We honored Mike's 100th anniversary on February 13, 2014 which included a limited edition trading card.

Joseph "Joe" N. Ermer 1918 - 2012 was a wonderful role model, artist, friend and true competitor. Joe Ermer was a WWII Veteran with the United States Navy and spent every day after his military service helping those around him. Joe was a passionate billiards player and always brought the best out of everyone.

In a recent interview with some relatives, we learned new additional history of Mike Lacche and his older brother Nick Lacche. Both were sons of Dominic Lacche andFrancesca Valentine Lacche; family has now confirmed that Mike and Nick had two sisters, believed to have been twins, who passed away young in Italia before the family moved to the United States.

July 27, 2017 also is the 22nd anniversary of the restoration of the Lacche family name, doing through the court system in Chelsea, Vermont.

D-Day 71 | June 6, 1944

Welcome to Mike Lacche Boxing, and we all take a moment of silence this month to remember D-Day and all events of tremendous courage like D-Day that allowed the rest of us to live safe, free and pursue our dreams.
